Aspen Skiing Company mountains dominate Conde Nast Traveler’s reader’s choice rankings of North American ski resorts for 2023, led by Snowmass, which received top honors in the annual voting. Aspen Mountain was voted fifth and Aspen Highlands was 14th.Telluride was the only other Colorado resort in the top 15, ranking 11th. Eight other Colorado resorts placed in the top 40.The five Colorado resorts owned by Vail Resorts all placed in the top 30. Breckenridge was 17th, Beaver Creek 18th, Vail 20th, Crested Butte 22nd and Keystone 27th. Other Colorado resorts placing in the top 40 include Steamboat (32), Winter Park (35) and Purgatory (38).Last year, Snowmass placed second behind Whistler-Blackcomb, a resort in British Columbia, and Aspen was third. Men are more likely to be killed in a car crash than women in all 50 states, a new study has found, and California is listed among the top 10 deadliest states for male crash victims. Researchers at personal injury law firm Dismuke Law analyzed statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to determine how much more likely it is for men to be killed in a collision than women. 18-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Accident near Lincoln AvenueOAKLAND, CA (November 21, 2023) – Arif Mohammed lost his life Sunday night in a hit-and-run incident on Highway 13. Authorities arrived at the scene just before 11:00 p.m., located just south of Lincoln Avenue.According to reports, a Zipcar, occupied by its driver and a passenger, was struck by a black Toyota Corolla.
