WTEN celebrates 70th anniversary ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Television station WTEN is celebrating a milestone. It was 70 years ago on October 14, 1953, that WTEN went on the air for the first time.But it wasn't called WTEN at the time and it wasn't channel 10. Hudson Valley Broadcasting owned what was then WROW radio and WROW channel 41. It was run out of a former home for retired nuns in North Greenbush. The building was located next to a farm on Glenmore Road. Woman identified in fatal I-44 crash near Pacific FRANKLIN COUNTY – Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash on I-44 at mile marker 257 that turned out to be a fatal wreck on October 12 around 6:45 p.m. The crash led to major backups Thursday night.A semi truck driver was going westbound, partially on the shoulder of I-44, in his 2002 Western Star Conventional that evening. Sharon Rodgers, 55, was following behind him and hit the back of the truck in her 2013 Buick Lacrosse. Rodgers was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
