By Morgan Lee, Susan Montoya Bryan and Anita Snow | Associated PressSANTA FE, N.M. — Videos released Thursday of this week’s deadly rampage in northwest New Mexico recorded a voice said to be the shooter urging police to “kill me” and officers rushing toward the 18-year-old gunman before fatally shooting him outside a church.“He is yelling on the Ring footage, ‘Come kill me,'” Farmington Police Chief Steve Hebbe said of Beau Wilson, the high school senior who authorities say killed three older women during the attack.“He’s making a stand, he has opportunities to run off, he does not use those opportunities,” Hebbe said. “So yes it’s my belief that ultimately in his head, he has made the decision that he is going to stand and fight it out until he is killed.”Three older woman were killed Monday by the shooter, including a mother and daughter who happened to be driving through the neighborhood. By Tara Copp and Lolita C. Baldor | Associated PressWASHINGTON — The Pentagon has overestimated the value of the weapons it has sent to Ukraine by at least $3 billion — an accounting error that could be a boon for the war effort because it will allow the Defense Department to send more weapons now without asking Congress for more money. The acknowledgment Thursday comes at a time when Pentagon is under increased pressure by Congress to show accountability for the billions of dollars it has sent in weapons, ammunition and equipment to Ukraine and as some lawmakers question whether that level of support should continue. It also could free up more money for critical weapons as Ukraine is on the verge of a much anticipated counteroffensive — which will require as much military aid as they can get. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has previously said the offensive was delayed because they did not yet have everything they needed. The error was caused when officials overvalued some of ...Levi's Stadium expected to host Super Bowl 60: reports

DENVER (AP) — In what the Denver Nuggets saw as the latest sign of disrespect, ESPN sideline reporter Lisa Salters revealed she hadn’t watched two-time MVP Nikola Jokic play before Game 1 of the Western Conference finals against the Los Angeles Lakers.Jokic had 34 points, 21 rebounds and 14 assists in Denver’s 132-126 win Tuesday night.“This is really the first time I’ve had a chance to watch him play, and I’ve got to admit, I have been sleeping on this guy. He is spectacular. He is ridiculously good,” Salters told Rich Eisen Show guest host Suzy Shuster the next day. She explained it had been a decade since she’d worked a game in Denver and she couldn’t recall watching Jokic, who is in his eighth NBA season, on the road or in the conference finals in the 2020 Florida bubble, also against the Lakers. The revelation came shortly after Mark Jackson, one of ESPN’s analysts calling the series, apologized for leaving Jokic off his five-player MVP ballot. PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) — Jon Rahm and Scottie Scheffler have spent the spring separating themselves from everyone else in golf.During the opening round of the PGA Championship at brawny and breezy Oak Hill on Thursday, Scheffler created a little cushion of his own.The world’s second-ranked player put together a largely stress-free 3-under 67, one off the early pace set by Bryson DeChambeau in a performance that offered proof the run Scheffler’s been on for the last 16 months shows no signs of subsiding.Rahm, who ascended to No. 1 in the world in January, fought his swing and the East Course’s tricky layout with a 6-over 76 that put him in the rare position of staring up — way up — the leaderboard at the frontrunners, a group that always seems to include Scheffler.“I feel like I did a lot of things really well,” Scheffler said. “I think there was a few putts that could have gone in, and my score could have been even lower. I’m just happy to get through it no bog...Still the standard: LeBron sets example for prospects eyeing NBA careers

CHICAGO (AP) — Brandon Miller was a little more than three weeks from being born when LeBron James made his NBA debut for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003.Two decades later, James is still near the top of the league Miller is about to enter.“Twenty years is a lot of years. I’m 20, myself. I feel old,” Miller said in jest.Prospects who gathered in Chicago this week for the NBA draft combine still see James as the gold standard, 20 years after he made the jump from St. Mary-St. Vincent High School in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. They see a player who entered the league when they were in diapers — or not even born — still going strong at age 38. He has a chance to cap a season in which he surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s scoring king by being crowned champion for the fifth time, with the Lakers facing the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference finals. They see the results of the work he puts in to keep himself in top condition, the contributions he makes away...Stars of Disney’s live-action ‘Little Mermaid’ talk about updating timeless tale
