A crew manning a boat registered in Evergreen won the Bisbee’s Black & Blue and Los Cabos Offshore fishing tournaments in late October, beating out roughly 200 other teams to win a cash prize of over $3.6 million at one of the largest fishing events in the world.The team, named the Rocky Mountain Hookers, reeled in a 501-pound blue marlin on the second and final day of both tournaments to win the grand prize. SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — A U.S. tourist died in the Bahamas after a catamaran carrying more than 100 people sank while traveling to a private island, police said Wednesday.Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings told The Associated Press that the unidentified 74-year-old woman was from Broomfield and was on a five-day vacation with her family when the catamaran sank late Tuesday morning.The rest of the passengers and crew members were rescued. Richard Clark found himself homeless after he says an injury prevented him from working. For the past year, a purple shed in North Hollywood’s Chandler Blvd. Tiny Home Village has been his temporary home.At just 64 square feet with two beds, it isn’t much. FREMONT — Murder, attempted murder and other charges have been filed against a man in a Sunday shooting that left one man dead and another man wounded, authorities said Wednesday.Besides the murder and attempted murder counts, Lorinzo Haley, 34, of Fremont, was also charged Tuesday with assault with a firearm and shooting at an inhabited dwelling, authorities said..Police still have not publicly identified the man killed or said if either of the men shot knew Haley.
