Thirty-six states and the District of Columbia have reached an agreement in principle with Google to settle a lawsuit filed in 2021 over the tech giant’s alleged monopolistic control of app distribution for the software that runs most of the world’s cellphones. The agreement, cited in a court filing late Tuesday by both sides, is subject to approval by the state attorneys general and the board of directors of Google’s parent company, the execution of an agreement and court approval.Terms of the temporary agreement bar the parties from disclosing its details for now, according to the Utah attorney general’s office, the lead plaintiff. “We don’t have a comment at this time,” said Google spokesperson Peter Shottenfels. WASHINGTON (AP) — An information technology director at Mar-a-Lago struck a cooperation agreement with federal prosecutors last summer in their investigation of Donald Trump’s retention of classified documents at the former president’s Florida property, according to the worker’s ex-lawyer.Stanley Woodward, a former attorney for the IT manager, made the revelation in a court filing responding to Justice Department arguments that he had a potential conflict-of-interest because of his representation of another key figure in the Mar-a-Lago probe, Trump valet Walt Nauta.A cooperation agreement generally requires an individual to assist a criminal investigation in exchange for not being prosecuted. In this case, the worker testified before a federal grand jury that in July returned an updated indictment against Trump, Nauta and another Mar-a-Lago employee, Carlos De Oliveira, accusing the men of conspiring to delete surveillance footage from the property. DENVER (KDVR) — Two officers involved in the shooting death of 14-year-old Jor'Dell Richardson will not face criminal charges, the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office announced on Wednesday.Police shot and killed Jor'Dell on June 1 after an Aurora convenience store robbery, with responding officers thinking he was armed. It turned out Jor'Dell was carrying a pellet-gun replica of a 9mm pistol, and his killing led to protests in the city. But prosecutors found that the officer's belief that it was a real gun was reasonable at the time, and body camera video shows the gun "clearly visible" in Jor'Dell's hands, according to the DA's investigative report. Investigators also found that the people involved in the store robbery thought the gun was real.Interim Aurora Police Chief Art Acevedo said the DA's decision is "fair and just.""Regardless of this finding, the death of a young man is a tragedy for his family and extended community, and it will continue to weigh heavily on members ...Dog found on I-595 exit with large slash wound recovering at Deerfield Beach animal hospital

You start with a lawn that doesn’t necessarily look like it’s in great shape. When you’re done, it looks so much better, and you know that you’ve made someone much happier with their property.”Jay Barnes started the group after he was inspired to make a difference just by stepping outside.“I was walking, and I see a lot of high grass,” Barnes said. “I’m saying, ‘Is there anything I can do in my community to make a diffe...Southern rockhopper penguin chick joins colony on display at New England Aquarium
