Alquist 3D, an innovator in printing homes, will relocate its headquarters to Greeley from Iowa in a high-profile win for Colorado’s push to become a hub of new construction technologies.3D printing works by laying down layer after layer of materials to create an object, from tiny components made of plastic to large buildings made of concrete. Printed homes, in theory, can be created in less time, with less labor, and at a lower cost versus more traditional construction methods.European firms pioneered the technology late last decade and Alquist 3D, formed in 2020, printed the first owner-occupied home in the U.S. two years ago using a patented concrete material. Faced with some of the highest housing costs in the country and a chronic shortfall of new residential construction, Colorado officials are keen on supporting innovations in the field.“Solving our housing crisis is all hands on deck and innovative solutions like Alquist 3D and communities like Greeley are crucia...100 gallons of fuel spill on I-76 ramp

Denver city leaders are poised to approve a $1.4 million settlement to a group of people injured during the 2020 racial justice protests downtown — bringing the city’s total bill so far for alleged police misconduct during the unrest to more than $11 million. The City Council during its Monday meeting is set to consider the new settlement with 35 people who sued the city in 2021, alleging police officers used tear gas and pepper spray on them as they demonstrated or observed peacefully. Some participants in the lawsuit were arrested, and even spent days in jail, but later had their charges dropped.Beyond physical injuries such as burning skin and bruises, many of the protesters were traumatized by the police, the lawsuit alleged. They are now afraid to protest and exercise their First Amendment right, it says.Related ArticlesCrime and Public Safety | 50 demonstrators sue Denver alleging police illegally injured or arrested them during 2020 protests Crime a...Broncos scouting report: How Denver matches up against Jets and predictions
