Aurora Fire contains burning brush fire off Parker Road Aurora Fire Rescue has contained a brush fire in an open space near the intersection of Parker and Chamber roads but will remain on scene to watch for hot spots that may flare up.The fire was reported at 3:15 p.m. by 911 callers. No structures burned, but a footbridge and brush in an open space were torched.The fire department performed door-to-door evacuation notices for fewer than a dozen homes and condominiums in the Pioneer Hills neighborhood, Aurora Fire Rescue said in a tweet.The open space is near the popular Cherry Creek State Park, but the fire was not on park property, said Kara Van Hoose, a Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokeswoman. Park operations are not affected.The fire department sent engines, brush trucks and other vehicles to fight the fire, according to a 3:24 p.m. tweet.Door-to-door evacuation was necessary for some nearby residents. Man charged with sexually assaulting 3 girls in Irvine public places A 54-year-old man has been charged in connection with sexually assaulting three young girls in public places in Irvine, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.Christopher Eduard, of Los Angeles, is accused of exposing himself to a 9-year-old girl in a library while allegedly forcing her to read cue cards with disturbing phrases and masturbating in front of her.He faces two counts of false imprisonment, two counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor under 14, one count of a forcible lewd act on a child, one count of contacting a minor with the intent to commit a specific offense and one count of sexual exploitation of a child.
