A fully licensed bar within the headquarters of the Toronto Police Service is closing down. A police spokesperson confirms in a statement to CityNews that the police chief’s office, in consultation with the Executive Officer Lounge Committee, informed senior officers in May that the bar’s ACGO license would not be renewed. “The licence was used infrequently, and largely for formal functions, like retirements or when hosting dignitaries,” read the statement. “Moving forward, the Service will apply for a Special Occasions Permit from the AGCO should we decide to host an event where alcohol may be served.”The bar inside the building at 40 College Street has reportedly been open since 1989.Newly restored Logan Square mural honors memory of firefighters who died in the line of duty

CHICAGO — The newly restored mural in Logan Square honors three firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice while battling an arson fire back in 1985. Now, their loved ones hope it serves as a reminder of the bravery of all firefighters.Captain Daniel Nockels and firefighters Michael Talley and Michael Forchione are the three firefighters depicted in the mural. CHICAGO — Andersonville hosted its first Vintage market of the summer, giving an opportunity to support small businesses and showcase the community. Business owner Emma Lewis said the Andersonville Vintage Market helped launch her own business."I'm actually a toddler mom and an art historian and I started out selling antiques on Instagram during the Pandemic," Lewis said.She shared her business has grown from selling antique prints to selling a whole line of art deco inspired stationary. METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — A former Louisiana priest pleaded guilty to drugging and molesting 17 men he picked up in New Orleans' touristy French Quarter. Stephen Sauer, 61, will serve 25 years in prison in connection to multiple sexual assault charges starting in 2019. He targeted people in the French Quarter who appeared drunk, lost or in need of help, according to Jefferson Parish District Attorney Paul D.
